The Department of Innovation, Industry and Regional Development (DIIRD) is supported by ten business units:
Responsible for promoting Victoria as a great place to live, work, invest, visit and learn and marketing the DIIRD brands and programs.

Responsible for Victoria's overseas-based agencies, coordinating whole of Government international business and advising on major international developments impacting Victoria.
The Victorian Government's leading provider of project management and development services for construction projects and complex property development.
Regional Development Victoria (RDV) provides programs, resources and services to rural and regional Victoria. It is the Government's lead agency for shaping policy and building stronger economies, communities and infrastructure in rural and regional Victoria.
Provides strategic leadership and support for the development of the higher education and vocational education and training (VET) systems
Provides strategic policy, planning, coordination and Ministerial services and coordinates the Department's engagement with the Victorian Government's climate change agenda.
