Melbourne Convention Centre Development

This project, under construction on the banks of the Yarra River, is creating Australia's largest combined convention and exhibition facility. The project will create jobs for Victorians and generate economic activity for the State. The new 5,000-seat centre is due to open for business in 2009.

Australian Synchrotron

This cutting-edge synchrotron research facility at Clayton is Australian's biggest piece of research infrastructure in decades, used in areas such as biotechnology and drug design, advanced manufacturing, ICT and nanotechnology.

Melbourne Centre for Financial Studies 

The Melbourne Centre for Financial Studies is the centrepiece initiative of Investing in Victoria's Future, the Bracks Government's action plan to further develop the financial services sector in Victoria

Knowledge Intensive SMEs

DIIRD is seeking input from investors, universities, small to medium enterprises (SME) managers and others to assist its investigation of Victorian-based knowledge-intensive SMEs
