Howard Ronaldson was the Secretary of Department of Infrastructure, a position he held from December 2002. He brings vast experience to DIIRD in negotiating complex commercial arrangements between the private sector and government and providing strategic policy advice on key links between infrastructure and the economy.

Howard has also held executive positions in DIIRD and the Department of Premier and Cabinet, and was previously the Director of Gaming, the Director of Crown Lands and the Director of Housing in Victoria. He also worked in Canberra as the Chief Executive and Under Treasurer of the Department of Treasury, Australian Capital Territory.

Kaye Darveniza was first elected to Victoria's Legislative Council as a member for Melbourne West Province in 1999. Ms Darveniza now represents the province of Northern Victoria having gained election in November 2006.

In December 2006, she became Parliamentary Secretary for Regional Development, having served for seven years as the Parliamentary Secretary to the Premier. Her role as a Parliamentary Secretary involves:

supporting sustained economic and industry development, as outlined in the $502 million Moving Forward in Provincial Victoria blueprint
helping create high-quality infrastructure in regional areas using the Regional Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF)
She served on the Economic Development Committee and the Legislative Council Printing Committee 1999 – 2003,  and on the Library Committee from 2003 to 2006.

Ms Darveniza spent 10 years as State Secretary of the Health and Community Services Union before her election to Parliament.

She was also National President and Vice President of the Health Services Union of Australia. Ms Darveniza qualified as a registered nurse in 1975 and worked mainly in the field of Psychiatry.
